Artist & Provenance
Sture Ekengren (1918–1996) was a Swedish painter known for expressive, semi‑abstract Nordic landscapes with bold colour fields.
He trained at the Higher Art Industrial School and the Royal Institute of Art, with study trips across Europe.
His work was shown at the Zorn Museum, Hudiksvall Museum, and in Nationalmuseum’s “Unga Tecknare” exhibitions
