Ragnar Godin

Jonas Ragnar Godin (20 March 1911, Kälarne, Håsjö parish, Jämtland – 8 July 1990, Östersund) was a Swedish painter. He studied under Tor Bjurström and Sigfrid Ullman at the Valand Painting School in Gothenburg. Godin held a solo exhibition in Östersund in 1948, and later exhibited alongside John Hedman and Rune Jansson at Galleri Brinken in Stockholm. He also participated in numerous group exhibitions throughout Jämtland and Östersund. Among his public works is the oil painting Traktatutväxning, created for the Fredssalen at Storsjöteatern in Östersund. His artistic output centres on still lifes, interior scenes, and views drawn from his surroundings in Östersund. |
