Gösta Falck

Gösta Alvar Falck (1920–2006) was a Swedish painter and musician whose career bridged representational and abstract traditions. Born in Svarteborg parish, Bohuslän, he was self-taught as a painter and also played violin in an orchestra during his youth. His early work focused on softly rendered landscapes of Bohuslän and floral still lifes in oil and watercolor, reflecting a lyrical naturalism. In the 1960s, Falck shifted toward abstraction, embracing a freer, more experimental style. His dual engagement with music and painting enriched his artistic sensibility, and he remained connected to his regional roots throughout his career. Falck is buried at Södra Härene. |
