The composition presents dramatic, flaming shapes in reddish‑brown and dark green tones against a deep, dark background. The surface has remarkable texture and three‑dimensionality thanks to a very thick impasto technique, likely applied with a palette knife, where the paint has been built up in relief. Unsigned, the work allows its artistic expression and craftsmanship to speak for itself. Presented in an elegant dark brown wooden frame with a thin gold border, the painting remains in very good vintage condition with charming patina.

Details
🖼 Medium: Oil on coarse linen canvas (impasto technique)

✍ Artist: Unknown — unsigned

📍 Title / Motif: Abstract Expressionist Composition — Flaming abstract motif

📏 Frame dimensions: approx. 77 × 61 cm (30.3" × 24")

📦 Condition: Very good vintage condition; supple canvas, intact paint layer; minor marks on frame

🖼 Presentation: Mounted on sturdy pine frame; hand‑nailed with contemporary studs; framed in dark brown wood with thin gold border

Provenance
Period: Probably 1950s–1960s.
The work reflects mid‑20th‑century traditions of abstract expressionism, where dramatic forms and tonal contrasts were explored through heavy impasto and palette‑knife relief.

Collector’s Note
All artworks in our collection are vintage or second‑hand.
